5 mental frames to make winning 10x easier
You can't win without effort.
But effort doesn't have to mean suffering.
Suffering is a choice-and depends entirely on how you CHOOSE to see things, a.k.a. Your perspective.
These following 5 mental frames are perspective shifts to detach effort from suffering.
Write them down.
Remember them often.
They will keep you alive in the great war against failure.

Something bad happens.
You lose a client, get stuck in traffic.
Your partner breaks up with you. And it sucks.
Why?
Because you weren't expecting it.
The gap between expectation and reality = suffering.
But what if you'd experienced it 1,000 times already?
Would you still feel bad?
Would it still suck?
Would you let it ruin your day?
Absolutely fcking not.
You've been through it a THOUSAND times.
You're desensitised.
Now think: if you'd feel that way after going through it 1000 times, you can simply CHOOSE to feel that way now.
The suffering disappears.
You continue executing & making decisions with a clear head,

Think of as many great superhero movies as you can.
Now eliminate all the ones where the main character didn't have to go through intense pain & suffering to become the hero.
What's left?
NOTHING.
It doesn't exist. Why?
Because heroes are forged in fire. Through hardship. Through endless setbacks. Forced to overcome impossible odds.
That's you right now. You're not just some random person trying to win- you're the hero in training.
Slaying the dragons that will one day become a part of your personal legend.
So whenever you're going through it--facing setback after setback-just remind yourself:
"This is the story I will some day tell."

One of the biggest threats to success is the belief that you have no control over your outcomes.
Why?
Because a lack of control breeds hopelessness, and hopelessness breeds failure.
People who feel that way attribute outcomes to external factors- luck, genetics, systemic barriers, random chance.
This isn't binary.
It's not "do you believe in external factors or not? “
The real question is: How much do you believe your outcomes are under your control?
The correct answer=100%
Everything is a skill issue.
If something isn't working, it's because there's something you don't know-or something you do know but aren't executing.
Find it. Fix it. Win.

You might not be a failure, you might’ve just miscalculated how much work is required to achieve your goal.
Think of it like an auction.
If you're last "hard work" bid wasn't enough, simply bid higher.
If that isn't enough, bid even higher. And higher. And higher. Until you win,
Nobody questions the price of shoes or cars.
But when it comes to success, people want it on their terms.
That's not bow it works. The price is the price.
The difference is that success doesn't come with a tag.
You don't know how much work, sacrifice, or time it will take.
Losers complain about this. Winners just keep bidding. Higher and higher: Until they succeed

This one is the most versatile.
It's a mental game you can play any time things feel hard.
Let's say you're working 12 hours a day right now. No social life. No entertainment. No adventure.
Some days, it's great. Other days, it sucks.
On those days, play the "What If game.”
Example: What if everyone other human on Earth was being forced to labor in a coal mine right now, and you'd barely escaped?
Wouldn't you be stoked to sit at a computer for 12 hours instead of breaking your back in a mine, miles below ground?
And if that scenario would change how you feel, why can't you feel that way now?
Answer: You can.
But only if you choose to.
Get creative with this one.
Any time you're suffering, and the burden of your goals feels heavy, play the "what if game”. Imagine a scenario that makes your current situation a huge win by contrast. Feel your spirit lifting.
Then get back to work.
The key to using these 5 mental frames is remembering them when you actually need them.
So write them down Somewhere you'll see them.
Reality is what_you make it.
All winners play mental games to alleviate suffering and push through extreme effort.
