These AI Tools Increased My Productivity, Here's How

Hey there,

This quote rings true for many people who find themselves overwhelmed with tasks and struggling to manage their time effectively.

In today’s fast-paced world, staying productive is more challenging than ever, especially with the constant influx of new technologies and tools.

Failing to manage your time efficiently can lead to fatigue, missed opportunities, and a constant feeling of falling behind.

The fear of being replaced by AI adds to the anxiety.

According to HubSpot's AI Proof and Positioning Report, many employees are worried about losing their jobs due to AI.

Ironically, staying away from AI because of these fears can actually make you less competitive and less efficient in your field.

Like many of you

 I was initially skeptical about using AI tools.

The thought of a machine performing my job better than I, the expert, was unsettling.

However, I decided to test various AI tools to see if they could actually enhance my productivity rather than hinder it.

How I Tested the Best AI Tools for Work

There are several AI technologies available, each with a unique purpose and usefulness.

I feel that the best approach to evaluate new tools is to use them in my work.

I applied several to my work while writing this Newsletter. Here's what I found:

Grammarly is my go-to for real-time writing suggestions.

It analyzes text for correctness, clarity, engagement, and more.

It’s like having an AP English teacher review my work as I write ✍️ .

Why I Like It:

  • Grammarly gives real-time writing suggestions, like the Grammarly extension.

  • You can also upload or paste your text to get feedback at the end.

  • It analyzes your writing and suggests improvements with its "Increase your impact" feature, making it more than just a spell checker.

  • You remain in control, choosing which suggestions to use, keeping your creative voice.

Hubspot

"We've all heard of it—one of the pioneers in the AI sector.

ChatGPT, a chatbot and virtual assistant developed by OpenAI in 2022, has swiftly become a trusted source of knowledge, answers, ideas, and help.

You can talk about a variety of themes, as indicated by the recommended questions below."

For example, I used Reclaim to fit in workouts, work hours, and social events while still finishing a big project on time.

ChatPDF simplifies skimming PDFs with AI.

Upload a PDF, and it quickly processes the information.

You can then ask it questions about

the document, making it ideal for students, professors, and professionals needing to summarize large materials like presentations or reports.

Why I Like It:

  • ChatPDF helps you find specific data without doing the work for you.

  • It’s easy to use, with a simple interface.

  • You can upload PDFs in any language, which is useful for international work.

  • The chatbot feature lets you ask specific questions, avoiding unnecessary information and encouraging understanding.

My Takeaways

AI tools like Grammarly and ChatPDF have revolutionized my productivity. While some worry about AI replacing human expertise, these tools enhance our work while preserving our unique human touch.

AI is here to stay, making our jobs easier and more enjoyable.
