The Power of Comparison

Hey Ambitious,

If you’re reading this, you’re doing incredible.

Seriously.

These daily challenge emails have a 34% open rate, so you’re among the dedicated few who are actively focusing on their self-improvement today.

And that’s something to be proud of.

Today, let’s dive into a topic that we all grapple with: comparison.

It’s something that can either push us forward or hold us back, depending on how we approach it.

Yesterday, we explored the importance of staying accountable. If you missed it, catch up here and feel free to leave a comment.

Now, back to comparison.

A Personal Story

My friend just completed writing a 100 emails for his Newsletter Business today.

Yep, 100 emails. The highest I’ve ever written is 50 emails.

So, do I compare myself to him?

Does it make me feel less accomplished?

Honestly, no. Instead of letting his achievement demotivate me, I chose to cheer him on.

And in doing so, I felt inspired. Inspired enough to consider writing 100 emails for my newsletter business

Key Takeaway: Compare Yourself to… Yourself

If you’re going to compare, let it be with yourself.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • Would your past self be proud of what you’re accomplishing now?

  • Would your future self be grateful for the work you’re putting in today?

These reflections are powerful tools to help you focus on your self-improvement. Consider jotting them down in a journal. It can give you clarity and keep you aligned with your goals.
