Day 7 Self-Improvement Challenge

Make it fun

Hey Ambitious,

Week 1 of our self-improvement challenge is officially done—can you believe it? Just three more weeks to go! 🎉

Yesterday, we learned about support systems (catch up on yesterday’s post here and leave a comment).

Today, I’ll share how to make yyourself self-improvement journey fun so it’s easier to stay consistent.

Boring vs. Fun

Back in April, I spent two weeks doing user research for work.

My task was to gather feedback from people who used our product and present my findings to the team.

Sounds straightforward, right?

But here’s the thing: delivering a long, monotonous verbal report in a meeting wasn’t just boring for my coworkers—it was boring for me, too.

So, I decided to switch things up. Instead of a dull report, I put together a lively PowerPoint presentation, complete with a quiz and a few jokes sprinkled in for good measure.

The outcome?

  • I actually enjoyed putting the presentation together, so it didn’t feel like a chore.

  • My team was way more engaged and motivated to take action on the insights.

That experience got me thinking: why shouldn’t we apply the same principle to our self-improvement routines?

Making Self-Improvement Fun

What’s something you can do to make your self-improvement journey more enjoyable?

It doesn’t have to be complicated. It could be as simple as pairing your goals with a fun activity—like listening to your favorite playlist while you work on them.

The key is to find a way to make your self-improvement efforts feel less like a grind and more like something you look forward to.
