How to master any skill quickly ✒️

Dan Koe on the fastest way to acquire a new skill:

How to master any skill fast:

- Stop studying

- Outline a project

- Start building it

- Hit a roadblock

- Research how to overcome it

- Repeat until completed

Most people get trapped in tutorial hell and have nothing to show for years of “learning.”

I love this advice for a couple reasons:

  1. You gain specific knowledge: Rather than the generic knowledge you get from tutorials, you learn exactly what you need for your specific goals. This targeted learning sticks better because it's immediately applicable and contextual.

  2. You end up with something to show for it: Every project you finish is proof of what you can actually do. You’re not just “learning”—you’re creating. You build both your skills and your portfolio at the same time.

Stop watching tutorials about doing the thing—just start doing the thing.

How I Built a New $1M Business in 12 Months - Video from Ali Abdaal 💰

Ok, this is a long one.

But if you’re even slightly interested in starting an online business, you should watch it.

I was blown away by the level of depth and transparency Ali shares here.

He takes us behind the scenes of building his Productivity Lab community over the past 12 months—from brainstorming the product to managing the launch.

It’s rare to find content about entrepreneurship that’s this honest and actionable.

Normally, I’d try to break down the key lessons for a video like this, but honestly, this one is worth watching in full.

How to Use Feminine Masculine Leadership and Traits 👥

In the boardroom, a fierce debate rages

Is leadership strength found in empathy or assertiveness?

Effective leadership isn't about choosing between feminine and masculine traits; it's about skillfully blending both to navigate the complex landscape of modern business.

Let's explore how these traits complement each other:

Comparison of Similarities

  1. Goal-oriented focus:

    • Feminine: Nurturing team growth to achieve collective objectives.

    • Masculine: Setting ambitious targets to drive team performance.

  2. Communication skills:

    • Feminine: Active listening fosters open dialogue and understanding.

    • Masculine: Direct communication ensures clear expectations and goals,

  3. Problem-solving approaches:

    • Feminine: Intuition and empathy guide collaborative solution-finding.

    • Masculine: Analytical thinking leads to systematic issue resolution.

Contrast of Differences

  1. Conflict resolution:

    • Feminine: Emphasizes understanding emotions and finding common ground.

    • Masculine: Focuses on addressing issues directly and efficiently.

  2. Decision-making process:

    • Feminine: Considers team input and long-term relational impacts

    • Masculine: Emphasizes quick, decisive action based on available data.

  3. Team motivation:

    • Feminine: Inspires through emotional connection and personal growth,

    • Masculine: Motivates through challenges and competitive spirit.

Balancing feminine and masculine traits creates versatile leaders who can adapt to diverse situations and team needs.

This blend fosters inclusive, high-performing environments where innovation thrives and employees feel valued,

The future of leadership isn't about gender--it's about embracing the full spectrum of human strengths.

The magical benefits of being bored🥱 (from someone who HATES being bored)…

Many of us almost fear feeling bored these days.

We spend a minute or two in silence and all kinds of unwanted thoughts or worries can appear in our mind.

Often it is much easier to just put your headphones in or pick up your phone to avoid the internal noise.

As someone who struggled with this like crazy, particularly as I worry a lot, the benefits I’ve seen of letting my brain get bored are:

  1. Surprisingly useful solutions to the worries or problems I have in my life

  2. Far more creativity with my work

  3. Far more reflective and grateful for my life and relationships

  4. More happy thoughts seem to just appear in my mind

  5. An increased ability to hear my gut feeling desires in life and take action on them

These are not insignificant things.

If anything much of my joy in life is now centred around making sure I have time in the quiet, getting bored, which sounds kinda weird but honestly it’s true.

My favourite ways to ‘get bored’ are:

  1. Sitting in the garden looking around

  2. Going for a walk with no phone or headphones

  3. Sitting on the sofa in a really comfy position

  4. Sitting in a coffee shop with no phone or headphones

If you actually read all this great work, tbh it probably means you definitely have the ability in you to get bored 😂.

Let me know if you read it .

I’d love to hear your perspective on this one if you have any thoughts.
